Who is the person behind the scenes?
Hi, I’m Danielle, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m the owner of Behind the Scenes, where I help busy business owners get things done — without having to do it all themselves (because honestly, who has time for that?).
With over 10 years of management experience across multiple industries, I’ve learned a thing or two about what makes a business tick. I spent seven years as a Clinical Manager in dentistry, running a busy practice and keeping everything (and everyone!) in line. Before moving to New Zealand, I worked as a manager in a country house hotel in the Lake District, UK, and onboard luxury cruise ships, learning how to stay calm, smile, and solve problems no matter what chaos is happening behind the scenes.
Eventually, it was time to step out on my own and dive into self-employment. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with tradies, not-for-profits, and a whole mix of business owners who just needed someone reliable in their corner.
Through all these experiences, one thing has become crystal clear: every industry is different, but people are at the heart of every business. When the people feel supported, everything else flows — the service, the systems, the culture, the growth.
I also became a mum this past year, and let’s be honest… that deserves its own qualification. My multitasking, prioritising and crisis-management skills have levelled up in ways no management course could ever teach. I’ve learned to tackle competing priorities with calm, clarity, and a healthy dose of humour — and that mindset comes with me into every client relationship.
I’m naturally self-motivated, organised and people-focused, which means you get the best of both worlds: structure and warmth, systems and smiles, strategy and support.
My goal isn’t just to be an extra set of hands — it’s to be your behind-the-scenes partner. Someone who understands your challenges, celebrates your wins, and helps your business feel easier, smoother and more enjoyable to run. Because being a business owner can be lonely — who gives you the pat on the back? Who do you bounce an idea off at 11pm when inspiration hits?
If you’re ready for friendly, reliable support that grows with your business, I’d love to be part of your journey.
